We have listed some of our most common questions below. For any information just give us a call.
When can my puppy attend daycare?
Puppies can come along to daycare once they have completed their vaccinations, including kennel cough, and have had the all clear from their vet to interact and play with other dogs. Occasionally daycare may prove too much for young puppies and they will need a longer period of build up before coming along for a half or full day. Every dog is as individual as we are and our top priority is making sure we communicate everything with owners so you can make a fully informed decision about your puppies daycare experience.
Do you offer dog boarding?
One staff member currently offers boarding. Our facility is licenced for daycare only and boarding takes place in our staff members home. Please ask for more details.
Do you offer drop offs/pick ups?
No, however, we will be offering this service in the near future.
Can my dog come along for a visit?
As long as your dog is fully vaccinated, including kennel cough, is castrated (male) if over the age of 6 months and does not have any behavioural issues that would prove dangerous or disruptive to the other dogs or our staff please feel free to fill in our registration form and we will contact you to arrange an assessment visit.
What is an assessment visit?
Our visits are required as per our licence and insurance terms and conditions to ensure that all dogs attending Dundee Doggy Daycare will be happy in our facility before they begin. The visits run between 9.30am to 11am, are free of charge and are 'open ended' so don't worry if we recommend more visits before your pups first full day. We are always up front and honest about what we have observed during your dogs time with us and we do our best to accommodate every dog, but we will discuss any concerns we have to guarantee your dog is happy and settled before coming along for a full day.
Are you closed during holiday periods?
We close completely over the Christmas and New Year period. This can vary from 9 - 14 days depending on the days the 25th December and 1st January fall on but we always give ample notice of closing/opening dates prior to December. As a small family run company, we do have some dates booked to close over the year but these are released a year in advance.
Do I need to book or can I just turn up with my dog on the day?
We always require a booking to take your dog. Please don't just turn up. We operate a strict dog to human ratio which we need to stick to so our insurance and licence is valid. We may have last minute spots on the day but you must call before coming along.
I have driven past at 1pm and you are always closed?
We close daily between 12pm and 2pm to allow the dogs to have their lunch and an adequate rest period. Daycare is a busy environment and can be physically and mentally tiring for the dogs and so to make sure they do not get overtired we give a structured 'nap time' with comfy bedding, couches and crates for them to settle down into. During this time, we do not answer calls to prevent disturbing the sleeping dogs but feel free to pop us a message on Facebook or an email which will be answered during the afternoon session.
If you have any questions at all please feel free to send us a message or give us a call.
